I’ve been on the grand tour of Kaysim Court Manor and truly while it is a licensed personal care home, I could equally feel a “family atmosphere” there. That’s special. The residents act like they are at home and the staff treat them like they are at home. All the people who live there have private rooms and while some are more advanced mentally, than others, ALL are equally treated with the same amount of respect, care and concern.
Kaysim Court Manor breaks the monotony of average state licensed personal care homes in PA. Kaysim Court Manor provides a family feel to it's residents through it's family owned and operated staffing. Each resident is a member of the family as is treated as such. Kaysim Court Manor takes the business aspect of operating a state licensed personal care home and and replaces it with personal care by flowing the motto "It starts in the heart". The staff at Kaysim Court Manor follow state guidelines and protocol in a professional yet warm hearted manner. It's not a job it's personal care as each person a Kaysim Court Manor genuinely cares for the residents on a personal level. Basically it's not business as usual at Kaysim Court Manor it's personal. This thought process is a blessing for it's residents and it shows. Stop in and check it out for yourself it's a wonderful place to live and work.
Kaysim is a great and loving home. Kaysim is close to public transportation, Lincoln Drive and 95 which is exactly what most residents and their families like. Kaysim provides all meals daily. All major holidays the staff gets together to provide holiday meals such as Thanksgiving traditional dinner and a barbecues for summer holidays. The residents enjoy the staff loving atmosphere. The owner Kawana always keeps her door open so that whenever a resident wants to talk (it could about anything) she is there to listen. Kaysim court manor is truly a gift from God.
After being hired at Kaysin I worked for a total of 4 months and was allowed to stay in a room due to becoming homeless. I was then wrongfully terminated due to the owners cousin lying and saying I wasn’t working when she wasn’t, and kicked out in the middle of the night. I was then hired again only to work one night and be told during the day that I was then again unemployed without any reasonings to why. I wouldn’t recommend working here their poorly ran and nobody has a set job, you basically do whatever for 8hrs as long as the residents are fed at the right time frames it doesn’t matter what you truly do.
My deceased step-father lived at Kaysim-Court Manor for over a year. The personal care home, which is family-run, kept the premises clean. Staff was courteous, polite and assisted me when needed. The living conditions and scenery were nice also. I noticed many residents there, which I was told were mental disabled adults and seniors. My step-father, who was partially paralleled from a stroke, received 24 hour supervision, medication assistance and other personal care services. Kaysim also provided 3 daily meals, housekeeping and laundry services, plus 1-4 bed room units. My step-father had a private bedroom that he could afford.Kaysim is not a nurse home. The level of care is a step below nurse home care. Had my step-father been fully parallelized he would have been nursing home bound.I'm not saying this personal care home is perfect. But during my experience and time there, I never had a complaint. Thanks to homes like Kaysim, we were able to receive a lot of help for my step-father, who also received medical follow-ups from outside agencies.
