This place is a joke to work for. Management is a joke. They have a Supervisor in charge that has a really bad Attitude that treats and talks to residents and staff any way she wants. I Brought to managements attention and nothing is done. There is a lot more issues but I’ll leave it at that for now. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AND DONT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN HERE.
My mother lived here for approx.3 years...they always strive to work with you here . They are very nice and compassionate also very Clean!I always had a my questions answered and they worked with me as well...my mom past Wednesday September 7th 2020 I will miss her and them!!!
We have been extremely pleased with The Inverness. Our mother moved there in the midst of the COVID restrictions, so things have been difficult, but the staff there has done everything possible to take care of our mom and to keep us informed. Emily, Julie, Patrick, and Miranda have done all they can to make her feel at home and give her the attention she needs.
My husband is a resident at The Inverness at Spartanburg and has been for a couple of years. Although there have been some minor issues at time the staff has always gone out of their way to correct any issues that may have arisen. This had been so important to me as I reside in PA and everything has to be done long distance by phone.Trusting the care of a love one to a facilityCan be scary at times but not in the case of the Inverness. The staff is delingent, caring and very professional. With COVID 19 they have done everything possible to keep the patients safe as well as help them through this long period of “no visitors” time certainly not an easy task.I would highly recommend The Inverness at Spartanburg.
I feel that my mother is happy at Inverness and has round the clock care. I love the location on Country Club Road. I live close by in case I am needed. The atmosphere at Inverness is excellent. The staff are helpful and attentive. I feel very lucky to have found this place for my mother.
Went in to check on my uncle. He was in bad shape and no one called family. We asked the care giver had he had anything to eat and she said she could not tells us. We asked had he eaten the day before and her answer was I was not here yesterday. We had to ask her to check his chart. I would not leave my dog in this facility. He was not breathing well. The facility did not even bother to call the family.
I have had 50 years experience in the health care industry as a retired Naval Officer in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps, a hospital administrator with both the Mary Black & SBG Regional Health Care Systems, a mental health counselor with the Spartanburg (SBG) Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission and as president of the SC Employee Assistance Professionals Association. I think I can recognize quality care & support when I see it. And I do see it at The Inverness Spartanburg. My mother has been at The Inverness since Jan, 2017. And I can honestly say that she is in a safe, comfortable environment supported by a staff that has her best interests in mind. In addition, she has made friends with others who also live at the facility - another major reason for our opinion of The Inverness.I can also write that the best leadership team is now in place since my mother's move to The Inverness. The Executive Director, Nursing Director, Financial Officer and Sales Director are all competent, experienced professionals who are exceptionally approachable and willing to discuss any issue with the family whenever they can - an important issue for us, as well. These are the reasons my family and I give high marks to The Inverness in Spartanburg.C. As one of the management team I have seen so many positive changes over the last year here at the Inverness. Our managers and staff are here to provide premiere care to our residents and families. Led by our Executive Director Emily who not only is a licensed Administrator, an LPN but also a Certified Dementia Practitioner. To read the reviews about the positive experiences families have had by trusting us with their loved ones is indescribable. It saddens me to read some of these negative reviews. But I take solace in knowing these are mostly written by ex employees who didn’t meet our expectations to provide the best care possible or from uneducated families who just didn’t understand the disease their loved one was struggling through. If you are in need of a premiere Assisted Living or Memory Care for a loved one I urge you to visit us. The atmosphere and level of care is exceptional and unlike any other.
My Mom and Step father have lived at The Inverness for 7 months. The staff has always tried to accommodate any requests we have. Of course, it is not perfect---but what is? Any time I have gone to the management with concerns, they have been addressed. The facility is constantly being upgraded. They have events planned for any of the residents that are interested. There are special sessions available for the families to gather additional information on Senior Care, Dementia, and other Services available to Seniors. This is a very hard time for any family, so there are always concerns, but Patrick, Emily, Karla, and the caregivers really work to calm these fears and concerns.
My mother has been at this facility for almost 5 months now. I can honestly say I feel so very blessed to have found this place. I actually live an hour away but could not find a facility near me that could come any where near matching the quality of care, room accomodations, food quality and "family" feel that is present here. They have a varied and stimulating activities program. The residents are social, engaged and treat one another as family too. The family nights are always a treat for both the residents and family members. Always something different and a ton of fun! I'm so very glad to have found The Inverness. I can't imagine a better place for my mom. She seems so happy and at peace which makes me happy and at peace.
5 Star rating for what’s important for an “Assisted Living” facility.1) Safe and Clean environment2) professional and caring staff3) social events and activities continuously4) quick response to customized requests from family5) Dr. Connectivity so your loved one has around the clock careI am not concerned about past employee comments as that is a different dynamic between employee/employer I am not privy to.However, I think it is very important to understand how they care for my mother. They do all they can to insure she get showers, clothed and gets out of her room to get meals and social interaction. And I have seen them do this for others. If someone is throwing water around and walking around naked this is not appropriate and usually is an indication of a bigger problem (Alzheimer’s). The Inverness is an assisted living facility and I understand they have an Alzheimer’s unit upstairs. My concern is my mother not be integrated with Alzheimer’s patients and from what I see The Inverness does a wonderful job of this. Thank goodness they removed an unruly person so he could not possibly injure my mother.Caring for our loved ones is the most personal thing we will ever do and I don’t want to diminish anyone’s situation. I wish all of you well in our journey to Care for our loved ones. So, there are my 5 Stars. Thank you Inverness for caring for my mother in ALL ways a family would.Chris
Both my mother and sister was at Inverness. My mother was in the Memory Care and my sister was in the Assisted Living! Although they were both only there for 6 months , they were so loved by the wonderful staff. We lost my sister unexpectedly while she was there and I can not say enough about how we were treated during that difficult time! Then we lost my mother just 2 weeks later! The care that the staff showed my mom and my sister was unbelievable! They hurt as much as we did! I highly recommend The Inverness !
We feel so happy to know our relative is taken well care of and has so many fun things to keep him entertained. We live three hours away and can't get there as often as we like but we do keep a close check as do other family members. Thanks again. We enjoy seeing photos on this site of the activities.
