After graduating from nursing school at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Jan worked at Columbia Presbyterian in New York City and Germantown Hospital in Philadelphia. Jan, her husband Jack and their 2 young sons, moved to Fort Myers Beach in 1976. She worked at Southwest Regional Medical Center before moving to the Englewood area and working at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Inglenook Assisted Living was started in 1989 because there had to be a better way to care for the elderly than what was available. Inglenook quickly established an excellent reputation which has continued throughout the Englewood community for the past 28 years.
In operation since 1989, Inglenook offers a unique residential setting, catering to elderly women who are unable to live alone. We are proud to receive the "Best of Englewood Reader's Choice Award" by the Englewood Sun Herald. We are a member of the Florida Assisted Living Association and have been a member of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce since 1991.
Inglenook is licensed by the State of Florida to provide assisted living services. We are not a nursing home and are not licensed to provide complex 24-hour nursing care
