The rehab department of this nursing facility is truly a gem! They are very professional, knowledgeable and has a personalized approach to every patient . I came in with shoulder pain that has limited my movements. With just one session . I felt relief that I never got from all the topical and oral pain medications I have been taking for months . I highly recommend this place if you ever need therapy.
I know there are several negative reviews and I respect that since we all have different life experiences. My great uncle was cared for at Infinity and it was a good experience he was treated with respect and dignity. For starters if we want better change we must act within ourselves. Like when we vote we should be requesting more funding for Nursing Home care etc these ppl look out for our loved ones in the end. Yet they are over worked and critized and never get the recognition they deserve. Bathing heavy set adults is not easy yet someone has to do it. As long as the place is clean and sanitize is all that matters with no irregularities im good. THANK YOU INIFINITY CARE YOUR HARD WORK IN THE BOYLE HEIGHTS IMPOVERISHED COMMUNITY DOESN'T GO UNNOTICED.
My aunt stayed at this facility after a major surgery and before her at-home recovery. It was a definite and necessary kick start to her rehabilitation. The staff was very accommodating to my aunt (even when she requested to move rooms due to a chatty roommate!). My only suggestion for improvement for Infinity Care would be to invest in some facility upgrades! Otherwise, I'd recommend to anyone.
Ok not impressed by this place and we got father out of there. The food was awful and the elevator was stalled most of the time. would have liked it better if the residents were not packed like sardines in these puny little rooms. there was no street parking except far away and the employee lot was full.
The hospital social worker assigned my aunt to this facility. What a nightmare! She had to be moved to another room because of the person in the next bed kept bothering her. The facility building itself is old and horrible. The parking lot has limited spaces and cars park behind yours if there are no other spots. The staff people are unorganized and never seem to know what they are doing. I called my aunt daily but residents do not have their own phones so they share a cordless phone. Sometimes its busy for hours because a resident doesn't know how to disconnect the call and you have to call the staff and ask them to locate it. I called my aunt daily. When it rang, they would sometimes ask me to call back in 5 or 10 minutes because they had to move my aunt from her bed to a wheelchair and move her into a noisy hall because the reception was so bad in her room, we couldn't hear each other, but the hallway was too noisy and she still couldn't hear me . It is an awful place. Sirens or some kind of alarm continuously going off. My aunt begged me to take her out of there but she lives alone and I live in a different state. I was frantically calling neighbors, government agencies, etc. in order to get her in home help. In spite of this, I could see how she was deteriorating. Her surgeon and doctor both released her to go home. The facility was notified and I was driving to pick her up when I received a call from the facility telling me she was "unresponsive" and the paramedics were transferring to White Memorial ER. It was too late by the time I got there. These horrible people told me she had been refusing her meals so why didn't they call the doctor to put her on IV? They could see how weak she was getting and I believe negligence was involved. I truly believe my aunt's life could have been saved if she had received the medical attention that would have saved her life. They may have done what was required of them by law but the compassion is lacking. Sad, sad place for your loved ones!
My family was "inquiring" about what their charges are for a 90 year old woman. They took it upon themselves to "check her status with Medicare" getting her Soc Sec number and then they tryed to get us to Talk to their Lawyer who works only with this facility. And we found out that we would have to pay $4,500. to have the Deed changed on my parents property. And they also assumed that my mother would then qualify for Med-i-cal, so she could be placed at this facility and NO.. My parents make more than Med-i-cal allows to accept her and then to pay for her to be at this location, while still holding the deed to the property. So when all the financials of my parents were divulged to the person who was our contact her Miss L.L. She took it upon herself to Request THE CANCELLATION OF MY MOTHERS MEDICAL INSURANCE TO KAISER THRU MY FATHERS RETIREMENT PLAN... SO NOW, my mother is Going to be Cancelled off of my fathers policy and have NO insurance. And who called to notify my Family of this??? Leeza Lopez herself. How does she know this?? Because she requested it. And YES...NO ONE in my family AUTHORIZED HER TO DO THIS.BEWARE WHAT INFORMATION YOU GIVE THIS FACILITY...OR YOUR LOVED ONE WILLSUFFER AND SO WILL YOU...ALL THIS TRANSPIRED Feb 14, 2017...thanks alot.
The Staff here is horrible starting with the Manager they have!!They will push so much work on employees making them skip lunch or work through it. Never have i seen this type of management in my 12 Years of working. They have horrible service when it come to asking for information!! They will lie right in your face give you wrong information and that's not all they have bad attitude and will harrass in groups if your new to the job site. they will even scream at you for not apparently reason.!!If I was you or knows of anyone that has family members that are staying there i would go check on them ASAP!! I have seen them yelling at Older People .They will rather be on there phones or chatting instead of helping the patientsI 100% don't recommend taking my love ones there is a living Hell!Just imagine your loves ones coming in to enjoy there last moments of the life but no instead they have to deal with the bad employees working there mistreating you!!
this place smells like rotten eggs. My grandmother had diaper rash and they said she must have an allergy. She doesn't have any allergies. The nurses cara have been broken into from the parking lot even they steal the windshield wipers. Window screens are fallen off for the last three visits no fix. Holes in floor not repaired for ever and stains on wall not cleaned. Mama Tatita says the food is bad she does not eat it but she nat hungry anymore. Room and hallway Smells but nurses do not notice.?? Some of her clothes are gone we ask but they no se. Never have met the doctor. Not sure why things are so bad here. Nurse say management cutting back.
The people that work here are liars. They told me I had to withdraw money from the bank and give it to them. But my county case worker said no. When I asked where the money went they said it paid for clothes and other stuff I already had. Then my clothes started disapearing from the laundry. The lady sold me clothes from here but another patient said they belonged to a dead lady. Do not come here they cheat you.
Mi padre was put in here by caseworker. But on hot days I would come and he was under heavy blankets and sweatingI asked for them to shower him they said his day was not then. The other hermano was talking crazy and shouting and he pooped homself it smelled like. But the nursio came and said nothing.Mi padre begged me to stay I had to go to work.He said he was afraid of the male nurse he was too rough. nurses. It smelled bad..We took him somewhere else.
the supply closet lock was changed last Friday and somehow the staff were supposed to get through the next shifts without supplies. That night a careless cna knocked my sterile wound care materials to the floor and left it for me to pick up.The CBA before that refused to change my bed linens and take away dirty diahes and glasses and ignored requests for fresh pillowcases.2 of the Google reviews online are under fake names one is a nurse here and another patient who hated this place.I asked the burse for oainjillwr and after telling her it was pain in both kefs she kept asking telling me she was "doing her dann job".But she follow that Dr.'s orders and contact him about my severe pain or pyr nw on change of condition after seeing me crying, as faculty procedure requires. The staff regukary lie to health dept and insurance company complaint investigators. After attending 35 care plan mtgs the dir. of nurses told the county she was "banned' from mY mtgs. Lie.There are no RNs on staff here since the facility doesn't want to pay them. Many wage and hour violations. Many infractitions ignorend
It's so sad how family members can't take care of their own family at home, but yet they could spend their money... When no other place would take them Infinity Care open their doors, and took over...giving them what family could not!!!! Medications, care, clean clothes, if family is so high on complaining why did they leave their loves ones for so long????
