I had been sick for 3 days with my kidney stone that was stuck in the ureter. My daughter insisted I go to the ER. The staff was awesome when they saw I was really cold they brought me a warm blanket. I had a severe infection caused by the kidney stone being stuck for to long. I had heard some bad thing about the hospital but so glad I didn't listen as I was treat so good, I wish I could have stayed at Hemet Hospital but my insurance company sent me to another hospital in Riverside that was horrible. United Health care needs to contract with Hemet Hospital instead of the one I was sent to. Thank you to all the staff that treated me that day.
Worse place ever. Please do not send your loved one there. They will only get worse and end back up in the hospital. The nurses are incompetent and have no idea what's going on with their tmpatients. There is only one RN for 44 patients , that don't get to see all of the patients. I never saw a Doctor there , and I was there for 5 days. Save yourself the trouble, this place is AWFUL
I'm here for rehab services after extensive back surgery. I was quite leery after all the stories about the facility.I'm checking it out prior to admission, we found it had undergone a complete everything - personnel, methodical practice, and many other qualifications. I've been here just about a week and I have to say how great the facility is. The staff, all of it, has been amazing. I definitely would recommend this facility.
This is a death house. My 89 year old father had a pacemaker put in and a had a terrible reaction to the Anastasia. It left him dim witted and child like for weeks but as time went on he got better. He was discharged by Hemet Valley Hospital to this facility where he spent the next 3 weeks in what he describes as a death camp. His Dr. Riveria who we never met or were able to contact with put him on a purée diet which my dad would not eat because in the notes it said my father could not swallow. I told the staff that he should be on the regular menu which looked pretty good and solid. It took over 2 weeks for any change to happen and in the meantime brought in food that he would eat. He was left unattended largely throughout the day except when they would dope him up with meds and do "physical therapy " which consisted of moving him from the bed to a wheel chair. The room had 3 beds each with a tv and none of the TVs worked the entire 3 weeks he was there and it was brought up to several people. Everyone will tell you that they will take care of something or alert or write in a chart etc. the truth is the staff is indifferent and treats patients with little if any dignity or respect. They withheld food gave lip service and not once did he have any real physical therapy. Placed in quarantine due to a diarrhea bug he lost weight and became scared as well as extremely lonely and depressed. I have never seen my dad so reduced in spirit. Strangely, he was discharged without warning and from isolation with what was said to be a very contagious bug that causes diarrhea. We were given nothing in regards to getting him in and out of bed, bathroom, bathing excercise you name it. They dumped him on us which is why he is alive and said They would call in the prescription for an anabiotic for the diarrhea. The prescription never came in even after visiting the head nurse who discharged him for days later I asked her to please call it in. Weather was your night I'll never know and don't care I started using his benefits at the VA and have since received 90 day treatment with respect and dignity. I don't recommend this facility to anyone else good on the outside but it's hard on the inside I wish I felt differently about it I think it should be shut down
The only reason this is receiving 2 stars is because there a a couple of qualified people that work there. The therapists seem genuine and helpful and there is A good nurse. From there, everything falls apart. The staff at this facility do not appear to communicate whatsoever. What we explain to one person never seems to make it to the next shift. Like others have said, my husband has had to wait over and hour at times to have someone respond to him pushing the call button. Twice now, he's been left on the bedpan for over an hour. He's witnessed some horrific stories regarding roommates. I am truly amazed that this place is open. Staff doesn't call back when they say they will and all communication to us seems last minute at best. Medication has been a nightmare, whether it is them playing with his regimen or neglecting to give him his meds in a timely manner. Do yourself a favor and find a different facility...
Do not allow your loved ones to enter this center. The staff does not check medical records or requirements. My precious mother was given anticoagulants when her medical records specifically warned against it. Mom started bleeding internally and vomiting blood. She died at the Hemet Valley Health Care Center just four days after arriving. Her room was kept ice cold. She was shivering. The staff kept the air conditioner on in January despite being asked to turn it off. Since Mom was immediately given blood thinners upon arrival, she became too weak to leave. The only answer was not to allow anyone to enter this death trap. -Angie WTo file a complaint to the agency that oversees health care agencies go to:cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHC…
Not sure about the previous 1 star review but we did not experience anything but kind, compassionate people from nursing staff to PT/OT and food service. My wife was there for 3 weeks and was cleaned several times per day. She was bathed twice per week which was acceptable since she did little to need more attention. The facility is spotless with maintenance folks mopping and cleaning constantly. The chef personally visited each patient to see what they liked to eat. The food was wholesome and plentiful. The staff came around several times per day serving coffee, cocoa, tea and ice cream. We stayed at other facilities in the past several years, but none came close to measuring up to HVHC.A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE THAT SERVED MY WIFE!
My 80 year old grandmother was transferred here after surgery to rehab and prepare to go back home. She was there for about 3 weeks and we visited everyday but 2. At first they were very attentive and compassionate, but as time passed they began to show less and less attention to her. There were times it would take up to 2hours for them to respond to her pressing her button for assistance. They would only assist her in bathing once a week, regardless if she had an "incident". On one of the last days she was there my mom came to visit and found her crying wearing only underwear and a t shirt rolled up which she had soiled with feces. She said it had been over an hour since they stripped her blankets. They even offered her breakfast in this condition. My mom was the one who ultimately cleaned her up. When she hunted down her nurse she was told she planned on assisting her but they had shift change. We complained to the social worker. She was apologetic and swore it would be handled, but that's too little too late, that should have been a priority. There were a few good nurses but they were the exception, most should find a new line of work. My grandmother did love the physical therapists. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise horrific experience. She made us promise to never take her back. I truly worry for their elderly patients that don't have family there daily to advocate for them.
