Do not ever send your loved ones here because it's a death trap. Our father entered here four weeks ago and ended up so degenerated after entering in better shape than he came. If we can prevent one family from ever bringing their loved ones there than we have saved you. They pay zero attention to them. They do not treat them with dignity or respect They don't care period. I've documented so many wrong doings it's scary. I'm honor of our beloved Dad hear our words
Appalled they sent my Mother home soiled (a PCA at my parent's house for her arrival confirmed it had been there for an extended period of time). They have a serious area of opportunity with their communication, especially with how little information they gave to our family, not just during her extended stay they 'strongly advised', but had transport literally drop my Mother off with no information for continued care. For the record, she isn't in a coherent state. Logic and reason tells me to leave this so others can avoid this establishment.
My father entered the GI four years ago in TCU. He remained in as a resident until his passing this week. During the course of these four years my children and I have spent a lot of time inside of this facility. I've gotten to know both the staff and residents alike. I am so grateful for the loving care that my father received here during the past four years. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and very quick to respond. They are friends with the residents and treat them as family. The Administrative staff has gone out of their way, above and beyond, to ensure sure that both Dad and family were all as comfortable as possible during this difficult time of transition. Thank you to the Homestead team for all of your hard work, kind words and support. We appreciate you. The Soucisse-Braun family
I've known many folks who have gone there from elderly, to folks recovering surgery but my experience w them today was ruthless. I pray thatthey treat the folks there w more dignity and respect than I encountered while trying to help an elderly neighbor who last minute asked for some help. Linda & Mary were particularly rude. Be respectful of those who try to help where they can. I should not be astounded but I am. I hope regululators check on these places regularly.
Just want to thank all those that made my Uncle Eugene Brownell’s stay there comfortable in all circumstances.Even though I was told he was a man of few words; his morning attendant was anxiously looked forward to very morning.. Uncle Gene would say; few words but he knows what he doing... I step into the bathroom and I return to find my bed totally made...He constantly; meaning every phone conversation; I would hear how good the food was ( and I get seconds; never leave that table hungry )but he raved about how clean the place was kept... “ you can eat off the floor” .... it was spotless and them girls need more money” .. always worrying about others. He enjoyed his times in conversation with others; especially those in Japanese; and his quiet times in the sunroom. He wanted to return home; but when he had to accept that wasn’t possible; he said “ could be a lot worse; so guess it will be alright”Again; my sincere heartfelt thanks for all that everyone did for him....
My wife was at Grand Islander and had a great experience. The staff did more for her than I ever expected. I want to thank all staff and leadership. We celebrated our 61 wedding anniversary staff decorated her room with balloons, it was fantastic! I highly recommend as they took great care of my wife. Everyone was great and I miss the staff.
My loved was at Grand Islander for tye past few months abd receiving excellent care. They have gone above and beyond helping me and my loved one to get acclimated to Long Term Care. Visitation has started and everytime I walk in I am greeted with a smile. I would recommend Grand Islander to those who need this care.

The Genesis Grand Islander in Middletown RI provides care for a beloved member of our family, a retired monk with health and age issues.Through a difficult time, the staff has managed the Covid 19 crisis with professionalism, responsible care, and excellent communications with residents’ families over the past year.We continue to be very grateful for their above-and-beyond work, responsive attitude and love.Spencer & Sally JonesWestwood, MA
I spent 6 weeks in the TCU after surgery on my foot and needing PT OT and IV support. The people who work there really helped me get my body back under control physically and medically. They were respectful and caring and worked very hard everyday to help me and others improve. Because of the work they did I am able to be successful at home as I continue to heal.
I receive the best care ever at grand islander. I've been back 5 or 6 times and will go nowhere else. This is where I get the very best care and leave feeling well again. The thearpy is incredible. You are worked hard but with love. There goal is to get you home even though they'd never rush you. I've always been ready to go home. I love the staff. They are family to me and always welcome me back with open hearts. Love this place . My motto is there's no place like home. Home is my happy place. Grand islander is the next closest to home. Here I am home! Thanks to everyone for my care. Ramona perham
