Employee Reviews for Acts Retirement in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania
3.67 out of 5 stars. Based on 12 reviews
Acts Retirement in the Fort Washington, PA area has generally positive reviews from employees. Many appreciate the mission-driven organization and the decent benefits offered, including a helpful benefits department, good amount of PTO time, and employee discounts. However, there are some areas of improvement, such as the off-boarding process which is seen as disgraceful, and it is difficult to get a decent pay increase. The IT department is seen as great with management that cares and motivates the team, but there is minimal opportunity for growth. The employee appreciation events are seen as a health fair at best, and the pay is not great for what is expected. Employees are also expected to get flu, covid, and all booster shots, with no exemptions. Immediate management is great, but the problem is at the top, as they make it a point to override immediate management. It is no longer seen as a fun place to work, and they recently purchased a new building and are demanding that people who worked from home successfully during the pandemic, return to working in that building full time. Advice to management is to keep focusing on the mission, bring back old company principles, and create a better off-boarding process and pay increases.Employee Reviews for Acts Retirement
3.5 out of 5 stars. Based on 709 reviews
Acts Retirement-Life Communities has generally positive reviews from employees. Many praise the stunningly beautiful communities, lovely residents, and friendly staff. However, there are some cons, such as management dictating everything, including patient goals, frequency & duration of tx, interventions utilized, screening & evaluation tools, and patient scheduling. There is also a lack of therapy space for speech clients, no in-house human resource in the building, and management style bordering on verbal and emotional abuse. Employees also mention that the company promises salary at an hourly rate, but then they will calculate the annual salary on a 48 week year, not a 52 week year, resulting in a month of pay being lost. Point of service documentation is required for daily notes, which must include their approved interventions. Additionally, wages and salaries are often not competitive enough to attract the type of talent that is sought, and wage/salary increases are not tied to performance. Advice to management includes requiring management training, not placing therapy assistants in DOR positions, ensuring disputes against managers are escalated to the corporate level for investigation, and starting actual exit interviews.By clicking "Get Exact Costs", you agree to our Partner's Terms of Use. I used to work here. Please do not send your loved ones who need more care to Fort Washington Estates!! The CNA's are terrible, rude and apathetic to your loved ones, especially if they can't speak and advocate for themselves. They also don't wear masks, which is against policy but the local administration doesn't enforce it. Nurses that have given the wrong medication to residents are still working here! Please find somewhere else for your loved ones.
