My grandma has been here for over a year now and every time I come here, the staff is very nice. My grandma has dementia and I appreciate everything they do to take care good of her. During this time of Covid, I've missed my grandma SO much. They allowed me to see her by placing her in her wheelchair next to a glass door so I can wave and smile through the glass and tell her I love her. Even that was enough to put my heart at ease. Thank you El Encanto staff for caring for my beloved grandma, being accommodating, and all your hard work keeping them well and safe.

The Residents here are all so sweet! I was a student CNA learning here to gain experience. All of the Residents I took care of were very patient with me and showed me a few tips to help them ready faster before they start their daily activities and events. It was a very unique experience and something I'll always remember while continuing on my nursing career!

My husband was a patient in El Encanto for almost a year, until he passed away. When he was admitted, he was totally incapacitated and could do nothing for himself. The staff were always kind and caring. The facilities were modest, but always clean. The activities director and staff were inviting and tried to engage as much as possible. They planned parties and activities for many occasions. I was there every day while he was there and at different times each day. Never did I see him treated with anything but love, care and compassion. I cannot express my appreciation in words for the wonderful care he received while at El Encanto. I recommend it highly.

My dad was transferred to this facility in 2016. When he arrived he was in bad shape from a terrible experience at another facility. He had bed sores, contracted legs, defensive behavior and severely malnutritioned. The staff here is amazing! They have went over and beyond to care for my father. My father has dementia and MS and he has connected with the people who have helped nurse him back to health. I highly recommend this place because the people are not only good at their job, they actually care about people! Like Jason, Carlo, Lesah!!!

Read before you decide to put you love one in this facility. My mother in law was the facility less than a week and had 2 FALLS.. Day2 fell out of the wheelchair and day 5 fell out of her bed. We didn't even get a call on her 2nd fall. My mother in law begged me not to leave her. And she proceeded to say if I did , they'd kill her. It broke my heart! I immediately called her hospice care and made arrangements to get her moved. Thank God for Citrus Valley Hospice. I must say the place is under staffed and definitely need better management.

It is rare to find a rehabilitation center that is a non profit. These people are here for the right reasons...to provide quality care for people in need. The facility may appear to be older but it is top notch; clean, efficient and most importantly a caring staff. There need to be more facilities like this that make caring for people a priority instead of profits. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

I would not hesitate to have a family member here as I know they would get lots of love. The facility is clean and smells good too. They nurses always are friendly with a smile.

This place has a very large lot to park and has a pretty outside almost like a castle. Inside it looks very old and outdated. My aunt got put here last week as a hospice place. She spent her last days here. I would say the staff including the nurses were very kind and was very open to questions. My aunt was supposed to be on around-the-clock pain management with morphine but she was only given that every two hours as needed. When I arrived last week it had been a span of 10 hours before we insisted she get morphine to be more comfortable.

My dad has been here for about 5 years now and I've never had any problems at all. ServiceMy dad is a diabetic stroke survivor and wheelchair/bedridden. They provide all meals and snacks (hospital food quality, so healthy and bland but not inhumane), and they even give him coffee whenever he wants. They give him baths, take him outside, and they offer activities almost everyday (newspaper reading, various religious services, special events for holidays, etc). They provide round-the-clock care (huge relief for us since his diabetes is particularly high-maintenance, something we struggled with taking care of him on our own), and he tells me they even have a dentist visit on-site!StaffI am very appreciate of the staff, as they converse with him and make sure his needs are taken care of (I've sometimes caught them going out of their way for him before they realize I'm there to visit, so I'm confidant they treat him well even if no one is watching). I've seen them become stern with other patients but in their defense, some patients' behavior is influenced by old age mental conditions and I've seen a poor old man take a swing at a nurse before. You can imagine what the staff has to put up with, so I'd give them credit. They are by and large caring, attentive and have positive attitudes (they also have a lot of student nurses come help out/intern but I like them. They're not very graceful but they seem eager to make a difference to the patients).Building and FacilitiesThe building is a little on the "old" side (built in the 60s or 70s maybe), but everything works and they seem to do upkeep and repairs regularly. I've never seen the building itself have any problems. The grounds are landscaped well, there are a few inner or gated courtyards so the patients can get some fresh air during the day without wandering off. Nice open dining area, and plenty of parking for visitors (no non-patient bathroom except the single staff one, so I'd go before a visit).  Personal AdviceIf you're even bothering to read this, then you're probably making some tough decisions these days. I feel for you, I've been there. I'll always have guilt that my dad is here, but because he wants to come home not because he thinks this place is terrible. Every nursing home is depressing, no matter how good the care is. This place is clean, has attentive staff and reasonably priced. Though I may have guilt, I have peace of mind that he's being taken care of well here. Definitely take a tour of this place if you're interested.

Social worker is very RUDE!!!  No compassion whatsoever. I hope she's reading this. Your time will come lady! Nursing staff is also not attentive, very "whatever" type of attitude. My grandmother was neglected and my mother was brushed aside when she asked questions. Would never recommend this place, only if you want to have your love one die. Sorry but that's the truth!

We found love! The staff at El Encanto, with great care and consideration cared for our ailing grandmother until the end. The love and respect they gave her is admirable. The room was clean, the ceilings high, and the window looking out to the garden was the length of the room - lots of natural light. Our deepest gratitude to El Encanto staff and management.

My sister has been here since June 2015. I visit often and the place is clean and odor free. The nursing staff seems very kind and my sister is enjoying it. There are always activities for her to do and she is constantly entertained.I feel very comfortable with El Encanto, and I know she is in good hands. I don't worry about her anymore.

My grandmother was here all the way till the end. The medical staff is wonderful! My granny shifted every two hours and they kept her clean and comfortable. Medical staff was overworked (had to take care of up to 18 patients ) but still remained cheerful and positive. The decor is old but the folks who work there have a heart of gold. Medical staff is diverse and speaks many languages. I didn't taste the food because it didn't look appealing. They kept the place well ventilated so it hardly smelled at all. It's a huge facility inside, one that's easy to get lost in. It's not a fancy place but then they don't charge a lot. Paperwork was processed quickly. Five stars for their service.

My mother was a resident here for the eight months prior to her death.I wish I could post two ratings--one for nursing care and the other for the administration. The medical staff was always caring and competent, and did their best for the residents. I'd give them 4-1/2 stars. The administrative staff was almost uniformly disorganized, uncaring, and incompetent. They also seem to believe that returning phone calls or responding to emails is optional. On a good day, I'd give them one star. It's telling that in 2015 a medical facility *does not* have computerized record-keeping.  They use a paper-based system, and the potential for mistake and omissions is major. The admin offices *do* have computers. The admin failed to update my mother's records with the mortuary form I provided them when she was admitted, thus causing a delay in contacting them when she died late on a Saturday night. Most egregiously, they were tardy in getting her death certificate signed and filed by their doctor, and very nearly caused the postponement of her funeral.  *Minutes* before leaving for her burial, I was on the phone with Dr Xavier Hsieh, El Encanto, and the mortuary, trying to straighten this out.

I had to come here as my dad broke his leg and was placed in here to help with his recovery and rehab for two weeks.  The place is on the old side but it is not bad.  They need to update some of the décor.  Workers are generally helpful and friendly.  Food sucks as I tried my dad's meals but typical of hospital food.  It is not as depressing as I thought it would be as this place is also a long term care for the elderly.  The rehab people need better training though.  My dad is old and the rehab people were trying to rehab him as if he were your average person and not an elderly patient.

We had to bring my mom to this facility for hospice care since that was our only option due to her illness. thankfully my siblings and i stay with her everyday, shes never alone. ive noticed some bad things about this facility. nurses take very long to take care of patients when they are needed. ive noticed some of the patients yelling for more than two hours because the nurses dont come since theyre really short on staff. there was a time where i heard a nurse yell 'eres latoso' to a patient, meaning he was annoying. my mother heard her and she started getting nervous and anxious so i reported the CNA to the front desk. theres a lot of rude CNAs. i still dont understand why they decided to take that career if they hate it.
