Crestview was built in 1974 and taken over by Paula and Azzy Reckess in 1994. Paula and Azzy invested in the property, increased staffing levels, and created a family-focused environment. They have continuously maintained Crestview as a facility "In Good Standing" with the NYS Department of Health since taking over.
Crestview has been the recipient of various letters of support and commendation from regulatory agencies, including both the NYS Dept of Health (DOH) and the Veterans Affairs Administration (VA).
Crestview is managed by PAZ Management, Inc, of Poughkeepsie, NY (also owned and operated by the Reckess family).
