Employee Reviews for Cascade Living Communities in Burlington, Washington
2.55 out of 5 stars. Based on 11 reviews
Overall, employees have mixed reviews of working for Cascade Living Communities in the Burlington, WA area. Many report feeling unappreciated and overworked, with upper management being unprofessional and often gossiping about their employees. Employees are often pressured to work more than 60 hours a week, and when they experience burnout, management makes it their fault and does not provide support. Additionally, employees report feeling bullied and treated unfairly, with management undermining each other and not valuing their help and experience. The most rewarding part of the job is working with the residents and their families, but the most difficult part is losing a resident. Management is also criticized for being unscrupulous, paying staff a low wage, always being short staffed, and having a high turnover rate.Employee Reviews for Cascade Living Communities

Our cousin, Edna, has been there for many years. She loves it and feels loved there. This is my brother, Curtis, and when we went to visit her. Everyone seems to be kind and treat her kind. That is what is most important to us; that she is well taken care of and loved. Thank you.
Creekside has a family atmosphere! This facility truly care about their residents through compassion and concern. We are fortunate to have a facility like this in Skagit Valley! I know, because my parents moved in approximately 5 years ago. Since then my mom has gone through a lot. My mother has lost my dad and has been sick at times, but with the help from the Creekside MedTechs and Caregivers she is doing great!
My father stayed here for a few months till he got very sick and had to go to the hospital , after his visit to the hospital he was to sick to return home. But the time he had here it was a great blessing , the staff did everything and more for him . They treated him and all his family like we where their family , kind , helpful, a great place for him , it had everything he could ever want and more. I'm very thankful for the way they made him feel at home . It's a warm , inviting place. Thank you to all .
This review pertains to Assisted Living at Creekside. Current COVID-19 outbreak and they are not following masking requirements. Under staffed, unskilled staff and few staff that actually seem to care. No protocols in place and/or not followed. This affects all aspects of "care" including medications. Very expensive and not getting what we pay for.
My Mother and Father moved to Creekside when it was Skagit Valley Senior Village several years ago. It was good then and better now under the new owner/management. Mom passed away three years ago and Dad's health and memory are failing. The staff and management are all uniformly friendly and caring. They take as much time as needed. They explain everything in detail and are patient with the family's and well as the residents. Dad recently had some medical issues - Staff called EMT's and they arrived in literally three minutes. The nurse assisted EMT's with information and intimate details so the finest care could be given. We are now moving him to the Memory Care unit where better care appropriate to his condition can be given. I and our family cannot experess how great our experience with Creekside has been. Working for a client who lives here.I waited outside for 15 minutes. Rang the door bell, my company couldn’t get a hold of anyone. A med delivery was also waiting. Finally not a worker but a family member came out of the door which allowed us access in (THIS IS NOT SAFE IN ANYWAY SHAPE OR FORM)No one was anywhere to be found near reception desk or on the floor.Had to find my way to the second floor and to my clients apartment. It was very nerve racking and uncomfortable.I’m assuming extremely understaffed.
Finding a Memory Care residence during a worldwide pandemic has proven an immense task. My choice to entrust the care of my step-father to Creekside Memory Care has been the best decision I could have made! Each and every employee is professional, friendly and seems to have the best interests of the residents at the heart of their actions. I whole-heartedly recommend Creekside Memory Care.
My mother-in-law lives here. It seems to be fine and they do have many activities and seem to be obsessed with bingo. It's clean and the employees are friendly. The food is a bit lacking in flavor and is very basic, but last time I was there they had a new cook so maybe the food will improve. She seems to enjoy living there. I find it to be more expensive than similar places farther south, but maybe that's because there are so few options up this way.
My mother has been there a month and a half and after multiple attempts the front desk has been unable to let me know if my mother has a phone in her room. I have asked Julie at the front desk to give my mother my phone number to no avail. Julie in her own words, "dropped the ball" regarding this matter and a package that was delivered to my mother.
Comfortable, modern, well decorated environment. Best food by far in any long-term care residence. The dining staff are superb; they remember every resident's name and dining needs. The front desk staff, when they are not on break and administration staff take over, are knowledgable, kind, and handle crises with common sense. Housekeeping staff take a personal interest in residents and have been exceptional.Unfortunately, the weak link is the care staff. There is no on-site RN. The wellness director is an LPN and hard to find. There are numerous excellent individuals, but the facility is severely understaffed. Getting a response to the emergency call bell takes a very long time, especially on weekends. I saw residents doing exercises to a tape recorded voice! Yuk.
