Castlewoods Place Assisted Living and Memory Care
Castlewoods Place offers both assisted living and memory care services. Our facility features 75 assisted living apartments with two distinct layouts. Below are photos of our one-bedroom and studio apartments. Please note that the furniture depicted is for demonstration purposes only; apartments are not furnished upon move-in.
Apartment Pricing
Our assisted living apartments are priced between $3695 and $4695 per month, with variations based on the size and location of the apartment. For couples, an additional second person fee of $895 is required, along with any additional care costs.
Community Fee
A one-time community fee is common among assisted living facilities. At Castlewoods Place, this fee is currently set at $2500 and is charged only once.
Care Levels and Fees
Each resident's care needs are assessed by a nurse through a series of questions to determine the necessary services. Based on this assessment, a care fee is established, ranging from $435 to $2335 per month. For example:
- Assistance with baths and dressing typically falls under care level one or two, with fees of $435 and $785, respectively.
- Including medication management may increase the care level to two or three, with fees of $785 and $1225, respectively.
It is important to note that new residents generally do not exceed care level three, which incurs an additional fee of $1225. Additionally, all new residents must be capable of transferring themselves to and from a seated position independently.

Community Insights
This detailed information was obtained directly from the Executive Director at Castlewoods Place via email on Dec. 27, 2023.
Overview of Staff and Training
Our community is staffed with one RN, multiple LPNs, and care partners. They are all trained with basic knowledge of long-term care, respect and dignity of residents, and numerous other in-services prior to being trained by a staff member on the floor.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Assisted Living is equipped with alarms on all exit doors that begin alarming at 7pm if they are opened. The only entrance into the building without a code is the front door, and it is locked at 8pm.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
We have resident ambassadors that assist with residents when they first move in. Also, the staff interact with new move-ins multiple times each day to make sure they know meal times, activities, etc.
Transportation Services
Yes, we offer transportation services for residents, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
Dining Experience
We encourage all residents to eat in the dining room. In our dining room, residents have assigned seating, so they are able to interact with the same people and gain friends. If a resident would like to eat breakfast/meals in their room, we do allow that as well.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
We appreciate it when residents approach management with any issues they have. Open communication is important to our management team and the sooner we are aware of an issue, the sooner we can determine the cause and fix it. Another way they can issue a complaint is by writing it and placing it in the complaint box. Our resident council has a key to the box and will bring up all complaints during their monthly resident council meeting.
Cost of Living
Cost with Care level included could be around $5,000 to $7,000 depending on location within our facility.
Communication with Residents' Families
If it is an issue about one resident, then the nurse on the floor would keep the family updated. If it is a general statement, the executive director will email that type of communication.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not currently offer short-term stays.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, pets are welcome. We charge a one-time fee of $250 for a pet.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes, CVS pharmacy hosts a vaccination workshop normally in October for Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations.
Age in Place Policy
We have a 10% age in place policy. This is set up by the state department of health; therefore, we are only allowed to maintain 10% of residents that would typically not qualify for assisted living.
Waitlist for Studios
We have a waitlist for our studios currently.
