If I could leave a no star review, I would. My cousin was in Cadence of Aurora for 2 1/2 weeks. She was ignored and neglected in assisted living with $850 a month care package. Jennifer, the director took $3000 community fee plus rent of $2950 My cousin was the only resident in building #2 and her food was always cold and usually not what she ordered. When my cousin pushed her call button for help to the restroom or for scheduled medication, the staff took forever to answer. Crying out from back spasms took forever to get help because of their short staffing. On my cousins last day as resident she was experiencing shortness-of-breath and she pushed her call button 9 times within an hour. No one came because there was only one staff member for Three buildings. Eventually my cousin call paramedics herself and when she got to the hospital she needed open heart surgery. After surgery she knew she couldn't go back to Cadence of Aurora because of their neglect. Jennifer, the director told her she had to give a months notice. My cousin said multiple times, " They leave you to die in here." That was nearly the case with my cousin. I hope this review helps potential residence avoid Cadence of Aurora with their negligent care policies.
