Overview of Staff and Training
We have a wide range of professionals here from RNs to LPNs to STNAs, caregivers, aides, reception, accounting, etc. All that have been through the appropriate training to maintain their title both with Brookdale and elsewhere.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Each of our residents has different needs and we cater to those needs as such. When it comes to safety and well-being, that is our top priority in all our communities and the first step is ensuring your loved one moves into the one they will be most successful in.
Transition Support Services
Each community has their ways of assisting new residents based on their specific needs with their transition into the community. Is there something specific you are looking for?
Transportation Services
We have community transportation to doctor appointments within 7-10 miles of the community. Outside of that, you can contract with Brookdale at Home, which is a paid service we offer.
Dining Experience
We offer restaurant-style dining in all parts of our community.
Resident Complaints and Issues
Depending on the issue there is a chain of command that is followed. Ultimately our Executive Director will handle anything that department heads cannot or need support on.
Cost of Living
Cost of living varies depending on what area of the community you are in. We are all private pay unless you are in our skilled nursing and your time is covered by your insurance. It can range from 3,000/month to 8,000/month + with room, board, and care.
Communication with Residents' Families
If in independent living the family is really only communicated with if there is a hospitalization or we see something that might make us think they need additional help or a higher level of care. In assisted living and memory care, the family is notified when there is a care change or concern. We hold care conferences if needed either over the phone or on property.
Short-term or Respite Stays
Respite stays are available in independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. Cost ranges from 130/day to 299/day depending on the environment and assistance needed. Minimum nights are required in assisted living and skilled nursing.
Pet-Friendly Community
The community is pet-friendly, however, if in skilled nursing we allow for the pets to visit but not stay with the resident. If in other parts of the community, if the resident cannot care for the pet themselves there is a fee for our staff or Brookdale at Home to do so.
Waitlist Information
For the most part, at this time we do not have a waitlist, however, if there is a specific style of apartment on a certain floor with a particular view you want there could be a wait for it.
Welcome to Brookdale, and welcome home.

Review Summary
The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.
Reviews of Brookdale senior living facilities present a mixed picture, with experiences ranging from highly positive to deeply concerning. Some residents and their families have found Brookdale to be a welcoming, clean environment with professional and caring staff, excellent therapy services, and a variety of activities that foster a sense of community and family. Positive experiences highlight the facility's dedication to resident care, particularly in independent living and skilled nursing care, where the staff's attentiveness and professionalism were praised.
Conversely, other reviews express significant dissatisfaction with aspects of care, particularly in the skilled nursing unit. Concerns include inadequate staffing levels leading to delayed assistance and insufficient care, lack of proper management and communication, and an environment not fully equipped to handle patients with specific medical needs such as dementia or epilepsy. Some families reported negative experiences with patient safety, including falls and a lack of accountability from the administration in addressing these issues.
Additionally, there are reports of racial insensitivity towards staff, which raises concerns about the facility's culture and management practices. The quality of the physical environment, including cleanliness and maintenance, received mixed reviews, with some instances of pest problems reported.
While many reviews commend the variety of activities available and the overall friendliness of the staff and residents, the inconsistency in experiences suggests that the quality of care and service can vary significantly across different Brookdale facilities or even within the same facility. Prospective residents and their families are advised to thoroughly research and consider these varied experiences when making decisions about senior living options.
Reviews
From the time we brought him in the room it did not go well. At noon we were told anytime after 4:00 p.m. we arrived at 5:30 they told us the room was ready the only thing that had been done in the room was the bed was made. The floors were filthy with feces rubbed into them the window sail had some sort of sticky goo all over it the phone was filthy the remote was filled the the top of the little nightstand was filled the the inside of the drawers were filthy along with the bathroom barely being cleaned it still smelled of urine. There was a toilet rail that was installed in properly. No one greeted us we just walked to the room number that they gave us. When a nurse's aide came in we told her about the situation she said she can't do anything about that because housekeeping had left for the day and she was busy. Then a nurse came flying in the room and told us that we needed to sign papers and I said I was not signing any papers until the room was cleaned she said that is not her job and housekeeping had gone for the day. At that point I told her I'm not signing any papers until the room gets cleaned, I don't care who cleans it but that room needs to be cleaned. That nurse left and sent in the assistant manager nurse. I explained everything to her again and that this was totally unacceptable. We went to the dining room which is a very tiny room there aren't even enough chairs for the five or six tables in there. The nurse manager came in there and said that she had personally gone in there and cleaned. When we went back to the room it was better than it was but still not a good place to leave someone that is there to recover from an infection. They're also were no waste baskets in the room. The food is pretty good for that type of facility. The crazy part is I didn't realize when we pulled up that it is the same place that my mother-in-law was in 3 years ago. She was there during covid. She was there recovering from a broken arm and elbow. During covered we weren't allowed to see her, we brought her food we were made to leave it in the vestibule. The crazy part is is it was supposed to be so sanitary during covid, but somehow she caught C diff there and died from it. The only reason that my father is still there is because his girlfriend is also there, and she is able to keep an eye on him 24/7 and to make sure that the staff is doing what they are supposed to when they are supposed to. A urine hand was placed in the toilet to measure his urine output. We have no idea why it was not ordered by his doctor. When the aid came in to empty it she dumped it in the toilet some of it went on the floor and then she proceeded to place the used wet urine hat on top of the basket that included the items like toothpaste, cup, comb and brush. My father's girlfriend ended up signing all the paperwork for him. But the next day when he needed a document sent to his attorney they told her they couldn't do it because of HIPAA rules. HIPAA rules didn't seem to matter with anything else. She is also his power of attorney. His room also did not have any towels, when they were requested it took them an extensive long time to find towels. They said they didn't have any clean ones currently. Nobody cares everyone blames everybody else I would not recommend it.
