Brookdale Nohl Ranch Description
Nestled on three acres of picturesque land in Anaheim Hills, California, Brookdale Nohl Ranch is reminiscent of a luxurious resort rather than an assisted living community. The minute you set foot on this campus, you'll see why every senior here wears a real smile. The care team and residents are more like a family, supporting each other with encouragement, friendship and love. We consider pets part of the family as well! At our pet-friendly community, your furry friend will have a blast at the dog park playing with all their new doggy friends.Assisted Living
Assisted living is a great option for seniors who need help with activities of daily living and want to live in a supportive community. These supportive communities usually have programs and team members who can help with things like daily living and basic care, as well as recreational activities and transportation.Dining
Our dining program is designed for you, and we would love to hear your feedback, menu suggestions or even your own recipes! We offer a unique dining experience where we tailor our seasonal menu options with feedback from residents during our monthly menu chats and residents’ family recipes. Let someone else worry about the dishes while you enjoy one of the best parts of a great meal—great conversations!Price Comparison

Employee Reviews for Brookdale Senior Living
3.06 out of 5 stars. Based on 1000 reviews
Employees of Brookdale Senior Living generally have positive things to say about the company. They appreciate the free parking, paid orientation and training hours, and nice residents. However, they have noted that the health insurance is expensive and the deductibles are high. Additionally, CNA's PTO for the first year is nearly nonexistent and the pay deposit system is unusual. There is also a lack of work-life balance, as employees are often called in on days off due to staff shortages. Employees have also reported that management does not advocate for them and that communication is not always good. They have also noted that the pay rate is low and that the facility is often understaffed. Employees have also reported that the security system is an issue and that the training is too automated. Advice to management includes improving communication, fostering staff development, enhancing benefits, and stopping taking credit for work that the front-line workers conduct.Healthcare Nearby

I have lived here for two years. Being a retired hospice RN I have seen multiple retirement homes and this is the best. 100% of the staff go out of their way to make things good for you. Cedric, the chef, has a menu that you would find in most restaurants and all of it GOOD!!!
Love this place!!!!! Friendly staff and great residents!!!! I recently was there giving my "Annual Holiday Music Concert" with my fantastic students..... They loved it and they were loved in return💞.... I'd love to live there in the future:) Two families I know have their loved ones living there, and they are quite happy:)
My 93YO Mom fell and broke her hip. After surgery and skilled nursing she could not return home so my husband and I started looking at assisted living locations. Brookdale Anaheim Hills was by far the cleanest, friendlyist and most welcoming of the many we looked at. Mom has a great apartment with a bedroom, living room, walk in closet, bathroom with walk in shower, a kitchenette and a good sized balcony. Beyond the lovely apartment, the facility itself is upscale, yet homey. There are tons of activities, it is pet friendly and she can get as much or as little help as she needs. The cost is very reasonable when compared to bringing someone into the home to make sure she is safe. The staff is very caring and patient and residents seem very happy. She loves the food where she orders from a menu. The location is ideal, sharing the parking lot with CVS, Subway, Fresh Choice Market, Papa Johns, a great Mexican place, a Thai place and many others. If you are looking for a place for your loved one give Veronica a call, she is director of sales. She is caring and patient with newbies like me.
My mother was recently in a rehab facility and could not go home. I was referred to Brookdale Nohl Ranch and from the first phone call and even when coming into tour, I was greeted by friendly, caring staff. They helped me with everything and made my mother feel very welcomed! She loves all of the staff, the food is excellent!! I know that my mom is well cared for and enjoys all her new friends. I would definitely recommend them!
On a first hand basis I had a family member living at this facility, when we first arrived and got a tour from Lindsey she promised a lot and we got little results. First of all she promised to hang and build items for my mother in law for free and we later found out it was a charge. That is not what got us upset what got us upset was the lie. As well the care staff is terrible they are always short every time I would go I would only see about three care staff that is ridiculously. and running into other family members they all agree that care staff takes a while to attend to our love ones. When it comes to activities they should not have them at all. They have the same games over and over again. For cinco de mayo my mother in law was so happy they where making piñatas and when it came down to it they made one piñata for the whole community that was the size of a cereal box. The activity girl Blanca always seems stressout and in a bad mood just a couple weeks I passed by and say her arguing with an employee who helps her out. That is not professional at all.I would not recommend this place at all. I’m getting my mother in law out.As well I will not be contacting the integrity line I will be contacting someone who can actually help and listen.
Terrible management. Employees and many residents don't like directors there. Low pay, stressful working conditions, unappreciated staff. Money is sole motive to management there. One method they use to attract potential residents is keeping name plaques on doors of vacant apartments to make it appear the facility is full capacity when showing facilities to potential residents. Management receives a bonus for each new apartment they rent. Strictly corporate. Money rules. Sad.
