    Review Summary

The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.

The reviews for the Brian Center offer a mixed perspective on the quality of care and staff responsiveness. Some reviewers express deep concern over understaffing, neglect, and poor conditions, including instances where patients were left in soiled diapers for extended periods, lack of timely medical care, and unsanitary conditions like roach infestations. There are alarming reports of patients being overlooked during critical care phases, missing personal items, and a general lack of communication from the staff to the families.

Conversely, other reviews highlight positive experiences, praising the center for its caring staff, cleanliness, and the attentive care provided to residents. Several reviewers specifically commend the efforts of individual nurses, aides, and staff members for their dedication, kindness, and the creation of a loving atmosphere. The activities director and front desk personnel receive special mentions for their efforts to make the center feel like home and for their warm interactions with both residents and visitors.

While some families report a satisfactory and even commendable level of care, suggesting a safe and nurturing environment for their loved ones, others describe a starkly different experience characterized by neglect, poor communication, and inadequate conditions. This disparity in experiences suggests that the quality of care may vary significantly within the facility.

First I will say that there are some wonderful caring hardworking associates but they can’t be there 24/7. You or loved one end up there, Pay attention to the Care plan, check diagnosis w/plan of action, check Medications requested for dispensing, personal physician prescribed, hospital has prescribed, Reasons for taking, They do not consult your physician, they will choose reason allows them special consults charging Insurance, they will try to make you pay if insurance denies even if you didn’t take, *** **CHECK MEDS GIVEN EVERY TIME NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU TAKE A TRIP ***** When they inform you Insurance has deemed no longer require assistance, But They Do, Don’t worry Long Term Care is always available CUSTOMER Pay ********If care is still needed, allow Discharge then depending on patient’s condition, I took my husband to Johnston UNC, Not Wayne they will send you right back regardless of condition, if not as serious, see your personal physician for revaluation, it can be sent to your Insurance and choose another facility Far From Wayne Hospital, and get the care you need They were discharging my husband until I Told them I was going to Johnston, it took 2 days fighting Literally then I called 911 for Ambulance, their story required my husband being given a Cognitive test by Paramedic, he passed so they loaded my husband but Wayne got involved and another 3 days 4?, Guess they wanted to make sure any medications given were gone when Johnston tested him for everything Twice after I went home he called Agitated, confused delusional, On after a few hours after returning passed he started to regain his thoughts and surroundings and Year’s, 9 days in Johnston Memorial after one test, so weak from the 24 days of Wayne and Brian, the doctor told me if required, would he want to be intubated, because if that happened, he may not recover and I should know up front the seriousness, Tear’s and Prayers he did pull through, but he is still not well enough for me to feel it’s ok to breathe, the failure to treat him with original reasons taken to emergency room has left him still with problems caused by having initially. Be careful and pay close attention to your loved ones, tomorrow is not always going to be there
