Nothing is easy or perfect about the process of putting a parent in assisted living. That said, American House Stone provides caring staff that goes above and beyond, a clean, well-managed facility, and excellent communication to work through any complications that inevitably arise when dealing with a parent's declining health. My sisters and I wholeheartedly recommend this facility.
The doctors and nurse practitioners are terrible. I suffer from chronic an debilitating pain and the doctors and their nurse practitioners refuse to prescribe proper pain meds. They didn't mind if ither doctors do but they personally are afraid if they prescribe narcotics, they'll lose their license. They told this to me directly.. So I'm in constant pain. They said they'd give me Tylenol which doesnt do anything.. So tonight when I asked for Tylenil in hopes it would give me a fraction of relief, I was told they ran out. So there you gave it. Thus place us incapable if caring for your lived ones. Even if they could they di nit want to. They're more concerned with their licenses. They should be more concerned with mal practice suits and losing their licenses for not treating patients. This is not a place where your lived ones are going to be cared for.
AH Stone has offered the highest level of care, hospitality and attention for my parents. My father died last week after 19 months of wonderful care. the Medical teams were always proactive, responsive and ensured that my dad had correct meds, clean linens and always bathed and shaven. Hospice was excellent in EVERY way...even providing food and other second-mile comforts fir is abd our family. As a pastor of 35 years I've seen a lot of variation on quality-and neglect in senior care. AM Stone is truly FIVE STAR in every way! Thx AH staff, The Medical Team and Hospice for OUTSTANDING care to my father in the final leg of his life's journey!!! Rev. Thomas Fischer
My mother was a resident at AH Stone for 8 years and we were very pleased with the care she received from the AH staff. If we hadn't been pleased, there's no way she would have stayed there. The AH staff took wonderful care of her from the front office to the housekeeping and dining room staff. Knowing she was being well taken care of gave us great peace of mind.
I feel sorry for any senior who gets stuck in this dump of a home. The staff is clueless to what the residents need. They obviously don't pay attn to them. If you love your family member, DO NOT put them in this home. I can't get into anymore detail but I hope a manager or someone sees this and at least realizes that this home is TERRIBLE AND LITERALLY KILLS THEIR RESIDENTS!!!!!!
