My friend stayed there for 3 months and had three opened sores on her buttocks because she had to wait 8 to 10 hrs. to be cleaned after she relevied herself in bed. When I complained to the head of staff I was threated with losing my visiting priveledges and had them cut from 12 hrs. to 2. She was transfered to another facility in north Bergen where she died from the treatment she received at this place. My complaints to the authorities and police were ignored. I am black; my friend was Hispanic; the entire staff was African; west Indian; and one black American and one puerto Rican. Evil doesn't have a race.
My girlfriend stayed there for about six months and was abused by the nursing staff. We waited for eight hours for her to be cleaned of feces and urine constantly-when I complained I was threatened and refused access to my girlfriend( I could see her for only 2 hours a day instead of 12). She had developed 3 open sores on her behind. After an incident where she was refused breathing treatment I was told by a nurse she was dead for 1 minute. She was transferred to another home in north Bergen where she died a month later. I complained to the authorities including the police and was told they were not authorized to investigate and to tell someone else. A single person cannot fight the various gangs that are supposed to help but do nothing but collect their checks and pensions.
