I’ve been a resident of The Alameda Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, since 12/17/20. I love the nursing staff here (both all the nurses & CNA’s who take care of me on a daily basis), as well as the support staff (including the Recreation Dept., as well both the House-keeping & Maintenance Dept. staffs). Any issues that I have had, have been addressed both promptly, in person & to my satisfaction by the Administration of the facility. The food here is excellent & as I enjoy eating good food very much, I greatly appreciate the efforts of the Dietary Dept. (as not only do they make it delicious, but also provide a lot of variety - so that it never gets boring). The food here is well cooked (& prepared) & a wide variety of both fruits & vegetables are provided for us. I am very satisfied & happy with this. I love my physician, Dr. Patel. He not only makes regular visitations with me to check-up on my health, but He’s easy to reach when the need does arise. He interacts & coordinates with my outside Doctors (such my Infectious Disease, Cardiac & Pulmonary physicians) & promptly orders the necessary tests & blood-work that they recommend I have. He even came in on a Sunday to see me, when I got sick, just to check me out himself. I really appreciate having Him on my health-care team. While here, I not only receive regular visits from a Pediatrist, but I even received prompt, bed-side, dental care from a very nice Dentist & her team (when I needed it). I not only feel very privileged & grateful to be allowed to live here, but also as all the staff are so nice & attentive to both my comfort & needs, I am very happy to be here as well.Sincerely,Mark D. On July 15 I came in to the front desk. Ask the Young lady in the front about The sign outside the facility help wanted. she was very Nice and kind to me telling me yes they are hiring for all positions. So I picked up two applications to bring them in tomorrow Monday was 16. I think I want me and my wife to work hear.
I would give zero star if available. Out of 3 only one elevator works and you have to wait about 15-20 minutes to go to second floor. Stairs are not allowed. Maintenance people take same elevator with their carts and many times you have to wait couple of rounds to get an empty elevator. Same situation coming down from upstairs. Also, there is no hand sanitizer in dispenser by the elevator on each floor or by the room entrance. And this not just now, it is like this for past 6-7 months that I have been visiting.
The elevator is always broken forcing visitors and even patients to take the stairs. A few weeks ago they didn't even have hand sanitizer. My mother call the nurses they take for ever to respond, my mom is 81 yrs old and barely can stand but there been times that she has to walk to the bathroom all by herself because help is not available. My sister leaves food for her in the fridge because the food there is awful, many times my mom goes hungry because nobody is available to warm up the food for her. Some of the nurses are very rude and don't show any compassion for the patients. I am sure that if the health department inspect that facility they are going to find a lot of violations to the safety and health of the patients.
