My grandmother, who has dementia, became a resident of Addington Place in early November 2020. When we were choosing a place for her to live we stressed that she would need someone to sit with her to eat and drink. If not, she would forget. They assured and promised that there would be a staff member to sit with her and ensure that she was eating and drinking. Today, December 10, 2020, my grandmother is being taken to the ER because she has not ate or drank anything in a week because no one has ensured that she eats or drinks. She has become dehydrated, lethargic, and it’s becoming hard for her to swallow. I would not recommend this place to anyone if you would like your family member to be well cared for.
How is it people can hide the fact that this nursing home has bed bugs, I was shown a bug and I told them it is a bed bug and just because you killed that one means nothing, then you people had the nerve to use a cheap spray that won't work. . And please don't thank me for bringing this to your attention you already knew. I know several people who work there and they have seen them too and your spray didn't work the state will hear any this
My mom was a resident at Addington since 2016. She made so many friends and did so many fun activities. I will be forever grateful for the staff and how they cared for my sweet mom, Sunny. You all made the last 4 1/2 years so bright and happy for her. You will always have a special place in my heart.
I will never send my family members to an assisted living house ever again because of Benton. My family members were neglected due to the shortage of staff, and disrespected because of their condition. I have reported and reported to management about this cruel behavior, but unfortunately there are a lot of falls, and not enough staff to control such behaviors. I would never want someone's family members to be treated in such cruel ways. I suggest not placing your loved ones at this facility. Treat your elders with respect!
