What a HORROR SHOW! Do not let your loved ones be here! My poor baby brother died two days ago so I can finally post this. Due to my own health and COVID I could not visit my brother in person. I have an entire notebook of call after call trying to get help for him. His "social worker" -Belinda- was neither. I have videos he desperately sent me. He also begged me not to alert the authorities since he couldn't move. Windsor Health- you are disgusting. I used to think I'd never wish ALS on anyone....

This place should be shut down. I stayed there for way to long in this place. They have rooms the size for one bed that they stick 2 beds in a real safety issue. If the bed by door is extended flat for sleeping the person can not exit room if in a wheelchair. You are stuck there until someone rescues you. In a fire you would be dead because they are so under staffed it isn't funny. How about the elevators. There are two elevators. One which was constantly broken down and another you couldn't even get an ambulance gurney in without folding person in half. They claim they have outside activities. Yes,they do if you consider outside activities smoking. They have a Kuerig machine in a garden room and patients can't use it. It's only for staff use. Then why put it in a public area. Lock it up.The death rate there is unbelievable and no one can tell me it isn't because of improper care. I waited a week for them to replace my Xaralto which I required every day because of blood clots and when I asked a temp nurse if it was in and then dared to check up on her to see if it was ordered. I got screamed at like I was an ignoramus. After a week without this life sustaing drug I had every right to follow up. The speech therapist put everyone there on gruel,so facility would get away with not getting the residents proper dental care. Most of the long care medicaid patients had litle to no teeth, rotting teeth etc. Of course they were all starving to death. They treated everyone worse then kennels closed down for animal abuse.I had to file my own medical appeal with the state because they thought, even though I was wheelchair bound in a hip high cast I could go home alone. REALLY I lived on Cantaloupe and cottage cheese. It took months to get a menu change and even though I filled out form for food allergies, they kept giving me food I was allergic to.What if I wasn't cognizant enough to realize it? Death because they don't answer call bells for hours.Cleanliness isn't even in their dictionary.  They have 4 beds using one bathroom. They allow people who have their own rooms use your bathroom like 4 people sharing isn't enough and then I get robbed of $200 and never reimbursed. Frankly I wouldn't let my dog go there. They are uncaring, incapable, rude, violate so many health and safety laws ut isn't funny and try to force you to use their ambulance instead of a covered one by your insurance because they can't be bothered. They come in in groups of 6 demanding money for things insurance covers and can't do that by law.If you care one iota for a  friend, family member. or yourself...DON'T GO HERE. HOSPITAL CAN NOT FORCE YOU TO GO. WAIT TILL A REPUTABLE PLACE HAS A BED. You might not get out alive.P.S. And don't try to help another patient or try to speak for them when you understand what they want and staff doesn't. They'll scream at you and tell you to go to your room. The temps are even worse. If I could they'd get a negative 5

I am very pleased and happy to have a place that my grandmother can stay to be cared for with independence. We have visited 3 other facilities before finding this one and she felt more comfortable with the staff and residence during our initial visit. One of the lovely staff members whose name is Lovely was very helpful and informative about Abingdon Care, it has been 2 years since my grandmothers placement and its always a warm welcoming when I visit from the front desk staff even to the cooks. We thank you for providing great continuous care for my grandmother.

My brother Salvatore has been at Warren Hall for almost 2 years. Everyone is treated with respect and kindness. The staff and administration is always there to help the residents as well as the families. When you enter the facility you are always greeted with a warm smile and feel welcome from the front desk. A big shout out to Yolande who is amazing leader and has the most caring staff! Carleen is awesome and has the most patience ever! My aunt (Dolly) was a resident at Abingdon for two years. We went to visit my aunt every day in the nursing home and got to know the staff at this facility very well. Words can’t even describe my heartfelt thanks to all of the staff who took care of my sweet aunt. If you are looking for a short-term or long-term care facility for a loved one, I highly recommend Abingdon. They treat you like family here. During this challenging time of covid-19, the staff at Abingdon really went above and beyond for me and my family.

I just want to thank all the nurses in Warren Hall for taking such great care of our mom, she has Alzheimer's and we know how difficult it is to deal with patients like that, especially under the circumstances we're living in. It hurts so to not be able to personally take care of my mom, but I find comfort in knowing she's in good hands. As I've said before, you're our eyes to see mom when she's happy or sad, you're our arms to hug her, feed her and bathe her, you're our hearts to love and comfort her. You're compassion and kindness don't go unnoticed. We're so grateful for each of you.

Place is poor and pretty much run down , they try and fix things up but it's awful. The kitchen is terrible, the food is horrible, they never have what's on the menu. They ran out of soda and coffee weeks ago, bread, milk too. Howard is rude to the residents and the new manager is even worse. They honestly need to get it together. I wouldn't be surprised if the state shuts this place down sometime soon. I sure hope the new administrator gets his act together and does something about this!

Since my wife came to Abingdon she looks much better, she is not as sedated as she was in the other facility, and she smiles like she never smiled before. I like the help and attention that the staff gives to my wife, and she was even singing when I came to see her; I can really see the difference, and she was very happy with the shower. I am extremely happy with the care, but wish it was a little more quiet; I would recommend others to come to Abingdon.

I survived this hell hole for 3 days from Feb 21-23 2019.First off the place is dirty and loaded with bugs. The food is served cold and so unappetizing!!!I also was the victim of an assault which occurred when another patient punched me straight in the jaw....I ended up calling 911 myself and was taken to the hospital with a swollen jaw which at this time is black and blue and painful!!!I am chronically ill and this place put me in such jeopardy without any concern for my health.Scott the director is worthless and lies through his teeth and will literally throw you out on the street when you speak the truth.Maria in admissions is also worthless and will lie straight to your face without regard to your health and well being. The only positive thing about this nightmare was the night nurses and physical therapy but in no way can they save this place from being shut down which it should be!!!DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONE TO SET FOOT IN THIS DUMP!!!!My wife and I will be contacting a lawyer as soon as I am feeling well enough after living through this nightmare!!Did I also mention when I was being assaulted 2 staff members pinned my arms behind me and left me vulnerable to be assaulted!!!!Please heed my warnings about this place!!!Feel free to contact me on my FB page....Michael Mentuck

This place needs to shut down, I've never seen such horrible staff in my life, some of the nurses have no idea what there talking about. The aids are not trained well and the kitchen is terrible. The only good thing I can say about this place is probably the patients? They are amazing to my grandmother and I'm forever grateful. Shout out to Steve, Bobby, Chris and all the other helpful patients.

Place is horrible, a lot of residents complain about the food and the lack of food. Recreational Department is lacking horribly, half the time they don't do there job .. they like to sit and be on there phones .. they pick there own smoking times and only spend half the time outside with the residents and leave them outside still smoking. Some of the aids spend time on there phones and ignore the patients. This place is just getting worse. I already called the state twice this week because I fear for some of these patients.

Terrible facility!!! Poor supervision. Lack of care for patients. Frequent abuse. They will protect each other, to cover up the terrible treatment given to patients. I'm in the process of transferring my mother. If you don't like your job, you should choose a different profession.Unit manger/supervisor Sharmain on the second floor and a nurse by the name of Emily, have constantly been rude and disrespectful to my mother. To top it off the SUPERVISOR shoved my mothers head and tried to lie about it. It took me 2 hours to finally get the truth from this woman. I had to request she come to the room and reenact what happened. And in front of my mother, my witness and a member of her staff, she admits to hitting my mom in the head. Unbelievable!!! My mom cant walk and has had congestive heart failure three time last year. What cowards to treat someone this badly, who cannot defend themselves.I have repeatedly complained to the Assistant Director and NOTHING has been done to correct the staff or treatment of there patients. They need to realize, these patients are why they have jobs!!!I understand staff can be under pressure at times, but if my mom is sick and i call to simply ask a question, i should not constantly get an attitude or inaccurate information, when i am not being aggressive and have a question.I called today 12/16/2018, i spoke to a lady, she cuts me off mid sentence and gives me to Anastasia who was unbelievably rude for no reason at all and didn't answer my question. If she doesn't like people, maybe she is the wrong profession. I will assume from my various experiences with this facility, there is absolutely NO training on customer service.
