Royal Palms offers a variety of amenities to their residents, including a salon, fitness center, outdoor pool and spa, billiards room, resident library, resident computer area, pet-friendly community, scheduled transportation, theater group membership to The Bonsai Holistic Spa Fitness Center and Indoor Therapy Pool, as well as access to The Plaza and Largo Community Center and Highland Recreation Complex.

Royal Palms offers an array of services for its residents. All private residences come with individually controlled heating and cooling, chef-inspired meals, life enrichment programs, volunteer opportunities, weekly housekeeping linen and towel services, maintenance and grounds care, all utilities excluding telephone, basic cable TV, complimentary Wi-Fi in common areas, month-to-month rental and no buy-in fee. All of these features combine to provide a luxurious living experience for its residents.

Independent Living Services and Amenities

Royal Palms offers independent living residents an array of services and amenities. Residents can enjoy two chef-inspired meals per day, breakfast and their choice of lunch or dinner. Weekly housekeeping, linen and towel services are provided, along with scheduled transportation, life enrichment programs and all utilities excluding telephone. Basic cable TV and complimentary Wi-Fi in common areas are included. 24-hour front desk personnel are available for any additional needs or assistance.

Employees working for The Goodman Group in the Largo, FL area have mixed opinions about their experience. On the positive side, they report that they can work all the overtime they want and that the facility is nice and the staff is great. On the negative side, they report that nurses are expected to be on call and are often required to work mandatory overtime. They also report that the staffing is inadequate and that the CNAs contracted by the agency often do not follow instructions from the nurses. Additionally, employees report that the reputation of the facility is bad in the community and that the care provided to residents is borderline neglect. They also report that there is no vacation time, that superiors are biased towards certain employees, and that there is poor decision making and inability to follow and enforce regulations due to inappropriate behavior with select employees. Employees advise that only those focused on addressing work protocol and blind to superiors personal interests should consider working here.

Advice to Management: Get rid of the "old guard" that have been there forever and bring in fresh ideas and new blood. Listen to your employees and make changes that will benefit them. Respect your employees and show them that you value their hard work and dedication.
