Five Star Senior Living in the Holly Hill, FL area has received mixed reviews from employees. While some have enjoyed working with the residents and appreciate the pay, others have found the management to be cliquish and the expectations of staff to be unrealistic. Many have noted that the building has its old charm and most of the residents are loving and caring. However, employees have reported that management does not care about them and there is a toxic environment. There is also a revolving door of staff, especially CNAs and Dietary, and those who do not agree with management can expect to be fired without warning. Upper management has been accused of not listening to employees and not making changes when they are promised. I am so grateful for Riviera Senior Living. This is by far the cleanest and most well run facility we have been associated with since my father went to the hospital 2 1/2 yr ago. He went for surgery and never came home. He has transitioned from ICU to now - independent living at Riviera. Every staff member has gone over and above from our 1st visit at this facility ~to the present day. This final stage of life is by far the most difficult in any seniors life and my mother and I are so appreciative of the excellent accommodations provided here.
My father and step mother called Riviera Senior Living their home in the Independent facility for several years. After my Step Mother passed, my father moved to the Assisted Living facility. They both found the staff, food and facility activities to be most enjoyable. I would highly recommend Riviera to anyone looking to make the change in their lifestyle.
Our 99 year old parents have made their home at Independent Living at Riviera for the last several years. The staff there are GREAT....very caring, kind and personal.The last year has been very challenging with the pandemic, but we have been able to keep in touch via zoom, with staff assistance. This has made it possible for our whole family to celebrate together on their 99th birthdays and 78th wedding anniversary.Riviera has recently added a PT department which has been a great addition. Taylor Weaver in particular has gone over and beyond by providing services in mom and dad's apartment. Not only has she increased their stamina and improved their balance, but she has cared for them holistically, making sure they're hydrated and eating. Then she communicates to the family, which greatly decreases our anxiety in a time when we can't visit.Many thanks to ALL the great staff at Riviera!
We are very thankful we found Riviera. My mother is so happy with her apartment, the staff and the food. She has many new friends and loves the activities, perfectly suited for seniors. She has been a resident for 15 months, and it has been very positive. Even during this virus of 2020, Riviera has made it safe and fun for the residents. Mom made the right decision to move to Riviera. I must say also, that as a family member, anytime I have have a question or a concern the staff responds immediately and with great interest.
My mother has stayed at the Riviera as an independent and assisted livingfor about 3-4 years and she absolutely loved it. Jennifer Harris and the staffwe’re absolutely fantastic and very caring. I would highly recommend them !
My mother was a resident in the AL at the Riviera this past year plus, sadly she passed this weekend. My family and I want to thank all the staff for always caring about my mother; mom always told me that everyone was so friendly at The Riviera. We felt good to know that she was there and that the staff truly did care about her, everyone from the Executive Director, the reception women, the nursing staff, housekeeping, activities, food service and especially, her aides! The Riviera is a historic building with all that comes with an older building, however, what is more important..... it is a place with a heart. Thank you.
My mom is enjoying her new life and lifestyle. This staff is amazing from physical therapists, cooks, cleaners, Chef Jake, Gregg, Lynn (my new bestie), Cindy, Jennifer, and the wonderful receptionist/administrator who makes us all follow the rules. Thank you.
Can't say enough good things about the staff at Riviera, and about the love and care my mom has experienced since her transition there -- first to independent living and now to assisted living (also, the transition from independent, done in a moment of crisis for mom - went SO WELL thanks to staff support). Mom just had a stint in a rehab facility after suffering a fall and broken leg, and it reminded me just how important good, caring staff are; my siblings and I are all so relieved to have mom back at Riviera!! (And so is she!)
The receptionist, nurses, and especially Barbara, Katie, and Michelle have been going above and beyond to facilitate connecting and interacting with my mother while the facility has been closed to outsiders. Thank you for all you are doing.
Riviera gets a shower of applause from our family for their high quality care, service and standards....During the CoVid pandemic, they took every precautionary measure to be sure our loved ones were safe & healthy. They are truly holistic in their care...watching out for their emotional well-being and happiness as well as their physical health and safety. Cindy, Jennifer, the chef and kitchen staff are all exemplary and give us peace of mind as we are separated from our “nearly 99” year old parents during this “Stay at Home” order. Holly & Rick
My dad has been a resident at Riviera for 2 years. One year in Independent living and one year in Assisted Living. The staff is incredible and truly a blessing for us. They take pride in the cleanliness and care of the facility. The food is amazing and dining room is beautiful. My dad loves his apartment and he is truly happy here! They treat him with respect and kindness. They listen and work with me if I have any concerns or special needs. I trust them to take care of one of the most special people in my life.
This place is like living on a cruise ship. If you visit, ask for Lynne and tell her Elizabeth Waters sent you. I have great friends living there who are happy to back me up!
Well managed and upbeat facility. Buildings are bright and cheerful and staff is very accommodating and caring. The many activities keep the residents busy and happy. My wife has been there for 2 months is happy and feels comfortable there. Would highly recommend.
Our good friend David recently passed away while living at the Riviera Independent Living facility. I just want to let everyone know that the entire staff was wonderfully supportive as we went through a rather lengthy process to wrap up his affairs. Thanks to you all!
Great Place to live!!
Riviera is a wonderful and very pleasant place to live and visit.The staff is as pleasant and helpful to everyone. We have been with them for 10 months and are very happy with the care and understanding the entire staff provides for our family. You see the same smiling faces every time we visit them. The place is always neat and very clean and my wife and I eat there awesome food that is five stares for every meal. The nursing stall is always looking out for the residents and are always ready and more than willing to help any time of day or night. You will not find a better place for your family member to live at then Riviera!
The Riviera is the best! Great team of professionals doing everything possible to make every day at The Riviera a special one. True fine dining, beautiful full of light apartments, activities for when you want to interact with others and quiet seating areas all around for when you want to just relax. Weekly outings, transportation options, and convenient location to pharmacy, grocery and stores allow you to opt out of driving if you choose. The best team, the best food, the best location. So happy my Dad lives at The Riviera!!!UPDATE - Can't believe a year has gone by. Dad is still at the Riviera and the Riviera is as wonderful as ever! Staff is as professional and wonderful as the day he moved in. Pam (director) and her staff are top notch and do everything possible to make the residents and their families feel welcome and important. The Riviera truly has the best team, the best food, and the best location. Life is just better at the Riviera!!!!
I have had experience with other facilities and I must say that Riviera Senior Living is top notch. The staff really care for their residents. It's clean, well maintained, and the foods pretty good too. Lots of activities and socializing are available should you wish to participate. It's located near a Publix and Walgreens drug store for convenient shopping without needing a car. My father loves it here and I know you or yours will too. Ken and Grace Brown
