Toured Harmony with a salesman. As he showed me around the facility, a lost scared resident came to us & asked to be shown to her room. He directed her two corridors away. About 5 minutes later the wandering lady returned still confused. Again, he directed her. Feeling sorry for her, I asked the shaking woman if she would like me to show her to her room? Thankfully the lady said "would you please". I walked the lady to her room which was locked, then took her to a nearby office where the employees rolled their eyes exasperated at the poor lady. I went back to the salesman who was waiting 2 corridors away to continue my tour. Really?!! This is supposed to be memory care & no one wanted to help her? Harmony isn't compassionate or caring. Not a place for my relative for sure. There are better places that are the same price.

Do not bring your loved ones here. After we picked up my dad from here that hadn’t shaved him or given him shower. When we got back home he didn’t have any of his clothes, they gave him other patients clothes that didn’t even have his name on them. He was only there for 19 days because of his behavior but we were supposed to pay them only $600 and they charged us three times that amount.

Our Mother lived at Harmony House for about 3 years. She had cognitive dementia and could be challenge. She had been at another home in town and it was an awful experience for her and for us. She fell constantly, the staff did not how to deal with her etc..That all changed when she was transferred to Harmony House. Paul and the Staff at HH know how to deal with people with Memory challenges. While living there she felt safe, rarely fell, was cared for and thrived . They have activities the residents can participate in and are invested in their resident . I live across country and Paul and the staff were great about keeping informed if something came up or if they felt she needed to hear from one of her kids. This is a Memory Care Facility that knows how to deal with people with memory challenges

My 89 year old mother was cared for in an exceptional manner from day one. I found kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit from every person there. The director helped us with a difficult situation, the nursing and caregiver staff friendly and emotionally invested in her. I can find zero negatives from top to bottom. I was completely sure that every day was pleasant for my mother until the end of her life.

1. There was a dead rat on the sidewalk at the entrance.2. After ringing the "doorbell" twice, we had to communicate through the window to a resident to find someone to let us in.3. The smell is horrendous. I can't even begin to describe it.4. We figured we would sit outside since the smell was so bad. But there were weeds and dead plants everywhere. Definitely not a welcoming environment for visitors.5. The nurse was on her phone as she was administering the residents their medications. Anyone who works in healthcare knows there should be no distractions during a med pass.6. I would never ever send my family, a loved one, or stranger to this facility.

DO NOT; I REPEAT, DO NOT ADMIT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE! I WON'T GO INTO DETAILS, BUT THEY ARE ALWAYS LOW ON STAFF. THEIR RATIO DOES NOT MEET STATE REQUIREMENTS & THE STAFF ARE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED ON CARING FOR MEMORY LOSS PATIENTS. THE BUILDING IS VERY OUTDATED & THE ROOMS ARE NOT PROPERLY EQUIPPED. PLEASE, I BEG YOU; TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE ELSEWHERE!

We have had a good experience with Harmony House since our loved one arrived there. They take care of their every need, are gracious and courteous and always go above and beyond to keep us informed of how things are going. I just called there today and the manager answered the phone and he was super helpful and friendly. They even let us plan a birthday party and provided all the food and decor!
