The length of respite stays in the nursing home can vary greatly, from just a few days to several weeks. Grandview Heights requests that you stay for a minimum of three days. The respite visit is also a good opportunity for an individual to be introduced to the wonderful world of nursing homes. This could make the transition to a nursing home much easier down the road, if that is something you desire, after getting used to being in a familiar environment.Dining
Since our beginning in 1975, offering delicious food has been a priority. Here is a sample of our menu to support that statement: Breakfast offers a variety of hot and cold cereals, fruits, and fruit juices. You can enjoy breakfast meats all week long! The midday meal offers a salad bar with plenty of options to choose from. The dietary staff "really go above and beyond" with the specialty salads! Overall, employees who have worked for Leisure Living Managed Community in the Grandville, MI area have mixed feelings about their experience. The entire staff at Grand Village Assisted Living did a wonderful job caring for our loved one while residing in "Moments Memory Care". The casual and comfortable environment paired with skilled and caring staff was a true blessing in this season of life. We are glad we chose Grand Village Assisted Living.
The team at Grand Village truly care about providing the absolute best experience for the residents they serve. I am proud to know them and know that they strive to live and work each day with purpose. The building is pretty great too!
Grand Village Assisted Living has been and continues to be a great experience for my parents. The staff are professional, caring and supportive as they make every effort to create a happy and healthy environment. My parents have lots of activities and outings to engage in, and really enjoy the daily exercise classes and coffee hour. My family feels very comfortable and appreciative that our parents are enjoying life at Grand Village Assisted Living.
My grandfather moved in the fall and we have been incredibly impressed. After losing my grandma in July we were worried about my grandfather’s well being alone in his condo. It was a scary and sad transition for him, but Grand Village staff could not have made it any easier for us! They were so thoughtful and kind. They made it so easy to get all of his needs met. The residents were also amazing! My grandfather made new friends easily. Grand Village has so many fun activities. We love that they really meet all of my grandfather’s needs. There are spiritual times, exercise times, game times, group times specifically for men or women, whole building parties, family parties, and more! While my grandfather moved in to support his daily needs and socialization, we have found the building to be excellent in supporting his continued health and independence. He is able to drive and keep his vehicle, check in and out when he wants, and explore the grounds freely. The building is VERY secure and the staff is excellent. This has put us at ease that no one will take advantage of him. His room is perfect. He has everything he could want in the room. Along with an amazing size bathroom. The staff keep it very clean too. He controls the temperature of his room and that has been reassuring. Maintenance is right on the premises and has always helped very quickly. One of the most important factors for him: food. The food is excellent. They have excellent options and he really loves all his meals. I could go on and on, but I HIGHLY recommend you check out Grand Village. Your loved one will be safe, engaged, take care of, and treated like family.
The Grand Village Assisted Living team has provided excellent and compassionate care to my family member. It’s a lovely community. It gives our entire family peace of mind to know our loved one is being taken care of physically, mentally and spiritually. Thank you Beth Terborg...we appreciate you and your team.
Grand Village has been an amazing place for my grandparents to move into. The time, attention, flexibility and care that my grandparents are given has provided so much peace to our family! We are all so thankful for what they have done and we definitely would recommend them to anyone!
Our Mother has been a resident at Grand Village for over a year and a half. She has a lovely room and has made some very special friends! The staff is very loving and caring and we appreciate the communication and care given to our entire family. Very nice services offered in a beautiful surrounding.
Highly recommend Grand Village to anyone looking for assisted living care for their loved one. Beautiful facility..good care and lots of wonderful people.
Nicely comfortable friendly facility.
New facility. Unsure about the accommodations and care within, but everything is new construction, new system of care, and new staff. The location is excellent for the elderly. A bus stop immediately out front and just two easy walking blocks away from a grocery store (Family Fare). Plenty of restaurants, churches, and a large mall less than a mile away.Tip: Their website is user friendly for family members with options to see the daily menu and write notes to residents.
