The director Ramona Gonzales and her staff were very efficient in the ever day running of this facility. My brother spent over a month here and we were very pleased with his care. The facility is clean and all the staff is friendly. Do not be put off by negative reviews, check for yourself.

I recently spent a few weeks in this facility for wound care and strength rehab. The room and building was kept clean and the staff kept all contact safe . All the Consulate staff were friendly and helpful especially the first two weeks that I was in quarantine and could not get out of bed on my own. The food was basic but good will variety weekly. I would have no problem sending a love one there if needed.

I came to this facility through agency to work a shift. Unfortunately, nobody was there to check me in, take my temperature, etc.I finally made my way into the facility, thanks to a random staff member. After wandering around aimlessly, I learned that I wasn’t on their schedule. I finally found the staffing coordinator, who SHUSHED me for being awake and happy. I learned that I wasn’t needed for the day. I am thankful in a way, because that is my second bad experience with this facility. I am also disappointing to learn that my grandfather stayed in such a place for his rehabilitation. I would NEVER!!

This is my second review of this company. I left a very detailed review of my issues with this company and they responded to my review advising me (about two weeks ago) to email them with my contact info which I promptly did. HOWEVER, there hasn’t been any contact made by this company to me after they replied to my review. It was a negative review therefore I was under the impression Consulate Healthcare of St. Pete wanted to gather a better understanding of what took place during my aunts stay. APPARENTLY NOT. Poor care at the facility and poor customer relations. Shame on your company for making it appear you would like to discuss the matter by just replying to my review. If we could give zero stars we would.

I am so happy the facility finally has a leader who cares and acts to improve the quality of life for their patients. I have struggled to communicate with the teams doctor nurses in the past and Ramona has brought professional staff and p to active back to this place. I recommend this place provided it stays on this path of improvement and compassion. Thank you for caring.

My mother was at Consulate of St. Pete for almost 4 years! They seem to be the gem of the Consulate system! Mom was in 2 other consulted facilities that one was below mediocre and the other was HORRIBLE!!Overall consulate of St Pete took very good care of mom! There was a few great nurses and cna’s! Of course there was some not so good either! The two women who ran the activities were phenomenal! For the most part the building and mom were very clean! Seemed like the biggest problem was the constant turnover of staff and the use of outside agencies for staffing! There is now a new administrator there now. Ramona and she seems really compassionate to residents needs and it really seems her goal is to make improvements where needed! Sadly mom passed away recently and I will not be able to witness this.Overall mom was treated very well at Consulte of St Pete. It would be nice if consulate corporation could get some of their other facilities cleaned up and better run!

We placed my aunt in this facility about 6 months ago and we couldn't be more happy with our decision. The staff is friendly and very respectful to their residents and families. The holidays are the absolute best here, the staff truly makes the residents feel at home. The facility is always decorated very nicely, residents receive holiday baskets, they play games, the staff dresses up and makes the holiday seasons very nice and engaging for the residents. The staff goes above and beyond for the residents and truly helpful to the family when we call with questions and/or concerns. This facility has done more for my aunt in the 6 months she's been there then her previous facility did in 2 years. I would highly recommend Consulate Health Care of St. Petersburg to assist with your loved ones.

I placed a friend of mine at Consulate Care in late August of 2019, Jerry was a Hospice patient and only expected to live a short time. Under their care and strong will to get better he thrived. He went from being bed ridden to walking out of their on his own. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Even thru the pandemic staff went over and above to help people cope. His room was always clean, never a smell of nursing homes. We were extremely happy and I would recommend anyone to place a loved one there.. If need be this is where I would place him again.
