My stay at Bel-Air was beyond tremendous. The overall outcome of my safety and health was their number one priority. Their heart failure program educated and introduced me to so many new structures to help me manage my diagnosis. Thank you Bel-Air Manor!

My mother just had hip replacement surgery and is simply there for rehab. In the evenings, she has to call multiple times for her meds, missing at least 2 dosages each and every day which causes her leg and hip to spasm which is destroying any progress she has made the days before. She was told that she would receive Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy EACH once a day. So far she has had ONE PT meeting in a week. She is supposed to be up and walking every hour (which she was doing before leaving the hospital) now she is down to be able to walking FOUR STEPS with a walker for the first time in a week! THE FOOD: DISGUSTING! She received this mush over egg noodles for lunch one day, which was inedible) then the SAME THING for dinner and then her roommate got it for HER lunch the next day. Other than that, everything is carbs and sugar. Breakfast has consisted of 1) 3 halves of French Toast with a Danish, day 2) Oatmeal and toast, DAY 3) Cream of wheat and toast, Day 3 DINNER- get this: a half bunch of grapes and just strawberries. Finally some vegetables but THAT WAS IT! I’m not kidding, just strawberries (whole with greens still on them) and a bunch of grapes! Oh, with salt and pepper packets. Guess what she got for breakfast the next day?? The same exact thing! I have had to bring her most of her meals (all of her dinners), and went to look for forks, plates in the dining rooms and there was NONE! This is insane! The food seems designed to keep people weak - as if they DO NOT WANT PEOPLE TO HEAL, I mean, they would lose money, right??? Disgusting!

While visiting my 102 year old grandmother, a couple staff came in to check on her, clean her trash. They were both very nice to my grandmother and I greatly appreciate that. My grandmother loves to build relationships with people and finds her day long if she can't talk to staff. Thank you
